Kentwood Municipal Water Company and CDC- How can I pay my bill? Mail your check or money order payable to the City of Westfield (no cash, please) to: City of Westfield Water Department, P.O. Box 9249, Chelsea, MA 02150. Alternatively, payments can be made in person Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Collector's Office, City Hall, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
- I have a water emergency! Who do I call? During normal business hours (Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), please contact (413) 572-6315 or (413) 572-6243. For after-hours emergencies, call the Westfield Police Department at (413) 562-5411.

- How often is my meter read? To cover the entire city, we divide it into three sections. Each section is read quarterly (every three months).
- How is my bill calculated? Your current meter reading minus the previous quarter's reading determines gallons used. This amount is multiplied by $2.95 per thousand gallons. Added to this is a base fee based on meter size—typically $20.50 for standard 5/8" residential meters. These combined charges appear on your Combined Utility Bill.
- How does the Water Resources Department test my tap water? Weekly coliform bacteria samples are collected from various testing points throughout the city. Additional monthly, quarterly, and annual samples ensure your water quality remains at the highest standard possible. All samples are analyzed by a commercial laboratory, with results available in the annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) delivered to each household or at the Water Resources Department office at 28 Sackett Street.
- What causes discolored water? Several factors can cause discoloration, including high water flow from firefighting, water main testing, or a water main break. Running your tap slowly for a short period will typically resolve the issue.
