How can I prevent door-to-door solicitors from visiting my property? The Township cannot deny permits to solicitors/peddlers who meet requirements. However, local ordinance states that solicitation is prohibited at properties clearly posted with "No Soliciting" signs. These stickers are available at the Clerk's Department. If solicitors ignore your posted sign, contact Township Police at (734) 354-3232.

How frequently must I renew my dog's license? Dog licenses need annual renewal at the Treasurer's Office. Visit the Treasurers section on the Forms and Applications webpage to download a dog license application.

Is a permit required for garage sales? No permit needed, but Ordinance 33 restricts garage sales to twice per calendar year, with each sale lasting no more than 72 hours. You may post a sign at your subdivision entrance.

Where can seniors find information about activities and assistance? Plymouth Township's Senior Center (Friendship Station) is located at 42375 Schoolcraft Road. They offer card games, line dancing classes, and Tai Chi training. Contact the Township Supervisor's Office at 734-354-3203. The Plymouth Community Council on Aging provides transportation, meals, and home maintenance assistance. Call 734-354-3222 or visit their office at Plymouth Township Hall.

Who handles requests for traffic signs in my neighborhood? As a charter township, Plymouth Township doesn't control roads or signals. Wayne County Roads has jurisdiction, but our police department maintains excellent working relationships with them. Contact the Police Department to leave a message with the Sergeant in charge of your Neighborhood Service Area.

Where can I obtain a copy of my property deed? Property deeds are available through the Wayne County Register of Deeds. Call (313) 224-5850 for information.

What is the source of our water supply? Our water comes from the Detroit River. It's treated by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) and then pumped through their distribution system to Plymouth Township.

How can I learn about chemicals in our water? DWSD provides monthly water analysis reports available upon request. Their treatment facility has a laboratory with certified chemists monitoring water quality continuously. Direct specific questions to the Manager of the Water Quality Division at DWSD: (313) 267-3627.

What should I do about sidewalk damage caused by a tree between the street and sidewalk? Contact the DPW for site investigation and remedial action. Property owners have 30 days to complete repairs.

When and where are Planning Commission Meetings held? Meetings occur at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday monthly in the Plymouth Township Hall Board Meeting Room, 9955 N. Haggerty Road.

Does the township regulate cable company rates? No, individual providers set their own rates. The Board of Trustees has sought to encourage competition between operators to ensure residents have choices.

How do I file a complaint about my cable TV service? Please visit our website for detailed information on the complaint process.
