We purchase water from the City of Wyoming. Lead primarily enters water through service line materials and household plumbing components.

While we provide high-quality water, we cannot control plumbing fixture materials. When water sits unused for several hours, you can reduce potential lead exposure by running your tap for 30-120 seconds before using water for consumption. Tests are conducted to detect Cryptosporidium and Giardia, protozoan parasites found in natural surface waters. Wyoming's treatment process incorporates multiple barriers including clarification, filtration, and disinfection to minimize these contaminants. Monitoring of treated samples has shown complete removal, demonstrating effective treatment for microscopic particle elimination.
