Lebanon Water Authority Municipal Water Report Info
Our water system's origins date back to 1872, when water was initially channeled to Lebanon City from the newly built Rexmont Supply Dams. In those early days, untreated and unfiltered raw water was provided to residents.

Today's system utilizes surface water from two primary sources. The first is Siegrist Dam, a 1.2 billion gallon reservoir located in Schuylkill County, approximately fourteen miles north of our treatment plant. Our second source is the Swatara Creek, a small river flowing through Lebanon County, with our intake positioned three miles west of the facility. We have the capability to use either source independently or in combination.

Our modern treatment facility, which processes up to 10 million gallons daily, began operations in 1972 and continues to serve the community with essential water services.
