  1. What is the value for a renter to get Water Service? It is a $150 deposit and a $50.00 non-refundable service fee. Click here for a list of deposits & fees
  2. What is the cost for a homeowner to get water service? There are a $100 deposit and a $50.00 non-refundable service rate. Click here for a list of deposit & costs
  3. When will I get my first water bill? The first water bill will be sent out after the service has been on for six (6) weeks.
  4. If my water has been cut-off for non-payment, what will I pay to be reconnected? You would be required to pay the late invoice plus one of the following fees:
    • If during office hours, the fee is $25.00
    • If after 4:00 p.m., the fee is $25.00 plus an additional $40.00
    • If it is on a weekend/holiday, the fee is $25.00 plus an additional $50.00
  5. What do I need to do to have water service turned on? Customers should come to City Hall 3rd floor and complete an application card. Must present a rent agreement or agreement statement if buying the home. They must present 2 forms of identification and place a deposit and pay a service fee. Customers must be 18 years old or present a marriage certificate. Click here for identification methods.
  6. When will my water service be subject to cut off? Water customers are subject to services being cut-off ten (10) days after the due date on the bill.
  7. What do I need to do to transfer my existing service to a different location? All current and late payments must be paid in full & pay a $25.00 transfer fee.
  8. Will I get a notice before my water service is turned off? No, payments are due within ten (10) days of the due date or your service is subject to being cut-off.

  10. How do I contact Animal Control? Please call 931) 473.1218
  11. Can I pay my water bill with a credit card? We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards.
  12. Do I need to come into the office to pay my bill? No, We take credit card payments over the phone. We can setup a monthly automated bank draft. We have payment drop boxes located at the McMinnville Civic Center and at City Hall. Payments can be made at one of the following Banks: Homeland Community Bank, 1st National Bank, Citizens Tri-County Bank, Security Federal Bank.
