Billing and Payment Information

Our customer water meters are read monthly. Bills are distributed by the last business day of each month, with payment due by the 15th of the following month.

A 10% late fee may be applied to your account on the next business day after the 15th if payment is not received. Payments deposited in our payment box after 5:00 PM will be credited on the next business day.

  • Bank draft for automatic monthly withdrawals (no fee)

For card payments, a $2.00 convenience fee applies for amounts up to $150.00; for amounts over $150.00, the fee is 2.75%.

Standard Charges on Your Bill

  • Administrative Fee (Adm Fee): $3.00 for application processing
  • Sewer charges based on water usage
  • Trash collection ($15.45 within city limits, includes recycling)
  • School Tax: 3% of water for Bullitt County Schools
  • Sales Tax: 6% on water & sewer for commercial accounts only

Additional charges may include a one-time Bore Fee of $350.00 if underground boring is required to connect your water line.

Mt. Washington Water Rate Information

Effective 7-1-18: Base rate for 0-2499 gallons is $21.60 for water, $21.60 for sewer, plus $0.65 school tax, $15.45 trash, and $3.00 administrative fee, totaling $62.30. Usage over 2499 gallons is billed at $5.52 per 1000 gallons plus 3% tax for water, and $5.52 per 1000 gallons for sewer.
