About Us
The 2017 Annual Water Quality Report provides residents with vital information about Stillwater's municipal water supply. This report, also called the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), outlines our water quality, treatment improvements, and resource protection efforts.
Stillwater draws water from Kaw Lake, located approximately 10 miles east of Ponca City in Kay County. This surface water is transported to our treatment facility at 1022 West Yost Street. In 2017, we delivered over 2.3 billion gallons of purified water to Stillwater residents, five rural water districts, and several mobile home communities throughout Payne and Noble Counties.
Our staff regularly tests your water for constituents according to EPA and ODEQ regulations. The tables in this report show results from January 1 to December 31, 2017. Some substances are tested less frequently based on required sampling schedules, with the most recent data reported.
All municipal water, including bottled varieties, naturally contains small amounts of various constituents such as microorganisms, organic chemicals, radioactive materials, or other substances. It's important to note that the presence of these elements doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
To maintain a safe and reliable water system, infrastructure improvements may occasionally be necessary, which could affect our rate structure. For questions about this report or our water utility, please contact Water Resources Department Director William Millis at (405) 742-8325 or Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Thomas Novotny at (405) 533-8492. You may also reach out to your mayor and city councilors.
