Our Water Meets or Exceeds Federal Standards
Delivering safe, reliable water is our highest priority. We're proud that our water meets or surpasses all national and federal requirements. This report summarizes water quality based on the most recent EPA-mandated tests.
Special Notice for Vulnerable Populations:
Some individuals may be more susceptible to certain water contaminants, including Cryptosporidium. This includes the elderly, infants, cancer patients, people with HIV/AIDS, and those with compromised immune systems. If you fall into these categories, consult your healthcare provider about your water consumption. For more information on reducing infection risks, call the Safe Drinking Water Hotline: 800.426.4791.
Understanding Water Contaminants:
All water sources, including bottled water, naturally contain some contaminants. Their presence doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. When water meets federal guidelines, there's typically no health advantage to purchasing bottled water or filtration systems. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, contact the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline.
Water Conservation:
According to our Water Loss Audit (January-December 2017), our system lost approximately 2.52 gallons per connection daily, representing 1.72% of total water pumped. For questions about water conservation, please call our customer service line.
Source Water Assessment:
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is updating a Source Water Susceptibility Assessment for our water sources. This analysis helps identify potential contamination risks and guides our water protection strategies. While our sources have been classified as "high" susceptibility for certain contaminants, this doesn't indicate any current health risks.
