a) With this salt-free system, your home should experience no reduction in water pressure, or very little.
We size this system based on how many full bathrooms are in your home.
Our systems will handle up to 6 full bathrooms and maintain a high 12 gallon per minute (GPM) flow rate.
Other inferior systems, fail to provide 12 GPM flow rates , which can cause low water pressure throughout your home.
a) Good news… With this system, your home should experience no reduction in water pressure, or very little.
This system is designed for high-flow performance. It’s engineered with large 1” and larger internal plumbing to keep that water pressure up. This is usually more than adequate for large homes.
a) We love this question... Our systems are designed to provide superior performace to maintain a proper water pressure throughout your home from 1 to 6 bathrooms. We don't want you to experience low water pressure.
Additionally, we upgrade our prefilter to combine both a carbon/ sediment filter (versus others with only a carbon prefilter). Ours removes sediments as well as other contaminants to safeguard your family and the system's media.
a) We generally don't recommend it. Simply, well water tends to have a lot of contaminants.
If a salt-free system is considered, proper pre-treatment is required. The iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, copper and other contaminants must be removed. Otherwise, the salt-free systems Filtersorb SP media may become fouled and ineffective.
a) No, the water hardness will not change.
Salt-free systems doenot remove the hard water minerals from your water.
It simply crystallizes the hard water minerals to prevent the minerals from sticking and forming scale.
Another benefit, the salt-free treated water will improve the lifespan of your home's pipes and appliances.
a) The salt-free Filtersorb media will tyically last 6+ years.
You would only replace the carbon/ sediment prefilter every 6 months.
The longevity also depends on the water usage and the water quality.

SOFT WATER INVESTMENT/ ROI
Water softeners can pay for itself within 3.5 years.
With up to $517+ in real annual saving, investing in soft water treatment "pays" you, year after year.
(Smart ROI also applies to investing in a quality home drinking water filtration system... see below!)

PURE PERFORMANCE
SoftPro's advanced Scale Control Technology (SCT) effectively prevents 99.6% of hard water scaling.
SCT transforms dissolved hard water minerals of calcium and magnesium into inactive, harmless microscopic crystal particles that are then easily passed through your water and down the drain.
Prevents hard water scaling, and reduces existing scale on fixtures and pipes.

Big Blue For Quality Water
SoftPro Salt-Free Conditioner includes the upgraded 5 micron sediment and chlorine pre-filter.
This efficient pre-filter system removes all of the little particles in water that can clog and build up in your hot water heaters, showerheads, dishwashers, etc.
Removes chlorine... a big plus!
Note.If upgrading to Whole House Upflow Catalytic Carbon & Filter, Big Blue Carbon Cartridge Filter will be replaced with a sediment cartridge filter.
Hard water, in scientific terms, is generally excessive amounts of dissolved calcium and magnesium in water.
Salt-based water softeners used to be the only kind of water softeners systems provided to homeowners. Today, SoftPro Salt-Free Water conditioner can keep the healthy minerals while preventing the consequences of hard water scaling.
Hard Water:
Excessive calcium and/ or magnesium minerals in the water.
It's these minerals that cause water spots and scaling when the hard water dries.
Soft Water:
Removal of calcium & magnesium minerals from water by use of a chemical reaction with the addition salt.
Conditioned Water:
Neutralizes calcium & magnesium hard water minerals without chemicals.
Salt-free, water conditioning technology alleviates and reverses the negative affects of hard water scaling,
while adding the benefits of soft water benefits.

Salt-free water conditioners and traditional salt-based water softeners serve different purposes and operate using distinct mechanisms. Here's a detailed comparison to help you understand their differences and decide which system suits your needs.
These systems use technologies like Template-Assisted Crystallization (TAC) to alter the structure of hardness minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, so they don’t adhere to surfaces. They don’t remove these minerals but prevent scale buildup on pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
These systems use an ion exchange process to remove hardness minerals from water. Calcium and magnesium are replaced with sodium or potassium ions, resulting in "softened" water free of hardness minerals.
Effective in reducing scale buildup in moderately hard water but do not eliminate hardness minerals. White spots may still appear on surfaces where water evaporates.
Highly effective in completely removing hardness minerals, making them ideal for very hard water conditions. They prevent both scale buildup and spotting on surfaces.
Require minimal maintenance since they don’t use salt or involve regeneration cycles. The media typically lasts 3–5 years before needing replacement.
Require regular replenishment of salt and occasional cleaning of the brine tank. Maintenance is more frequent and labor-intensive compared to salt-free systems.

With your water softener purchase today, we'll send you a neoprene jacket guard for free (a $59 value).
Yes, your complete softener system comes with a washable, removable neoprene jacket that makes it look spiffy. But there’s another great reason for the jacket.
Sometimes a water softener can create pooling at the base during the water treatment process.
This jacket insulates the tank and helps reduce condensation that can happen during regeneration.
It protects your tank in high humidity as well as cold temps, and it’s easy to remove and easy to wash. We wish all our jackets did so much.

The SoftPro® Elite Salt Free Water Conditioner uses a salt free water filtration process known as Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), which prevents calcium and magnesium—the minerals responsible for hard water—from forming limescale.
Unlike traditional ion exchange systems that require salt and a brine tank, this system conditions the water without altering its mineral content, making it an environmentally friendly and low-maintenance water softening solution. No electricity, backwashing, or wastewater is needed, making it ideal for those focused on water conservation.
Yes, the SoftPro® Elite Salt Free Water Conditioner requires minimal water softener maintenance because it doesn't use resin, brine, or cartridges that need frequent replacement.
There’s no drop in water pressure, and it maintains great taste while being safe for skin, bathroom, and kitchen use. It also prevents corrosion and metal damage in your pipes and appliances by reducing heavy metals and sulfide content. Plus, with customer support and a free water test, SoftPro ensures you get the right water treatment for your home.
Traditional water softening systems use salt and a process called ion exchange to remove calcium and magnesium from hard water, creating wastewater and requiring brine refills.
In contrast, the SoftPro® Elite Salt Free Water Conditioner crystallizes these minerals using TAC technology without actually removing them. This results in soft water effects—like reduced limescale, better soap performance, and cleaner laundry—without the added salt, ongoing maintenance, or damage to the environment.
What’s the difference between a salt-based softener and a salt free water conditioner like SoftPro® Elite? Traditional water softening systems use salt and a process called ion exchange to remove calcium and magnesium from hard water, creating wastewater and requiring brine refills.

Yes! By transforming calcium carbonate into harmless crystals, the SoftPro® Elite Salt Free Water Conditioner prevents buildup in your pipes, valves, dishwasher, washing machine, and heating elements.
It helps avoid corrosion, clogs, and scale damage, reducing long-term repair costs. It also improves water flow and pressure, ensuring that your kitchen, bathroom, and laundry systems stay efficient and durable.
The SoftPro Elite Salt Free Water Conditioner uses no electricity, doesn’t produce wastewater, and requires no backwashing. This significantly reduces water supply consumption and protects your septic tank from saline overload.
It’s an environmentally friendly solution, ideal for homeowners concerned with water conservation and reducing their ecological footprint—especially when compared to traditional salt-based water softeners.
