We appreciate your continued trust in us to deliver the highest quality municipal water possible.

VULNERABLE POPULATIONS

Some individuals may be more vulnerable than the general population to certain microbial contaminants in tap water, particularly Cryptosporidium. This includes infants, elderly persons, immune-compromised individuals undergoing cancer chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients, those on steroid treatment, and people with HIV/AIDS or other immune disorders. These individuals should seek specific advice about municipal water from their healthcare providers. Guidelines for reducing infection risk from Cryptosporidium are available from the Safe Drinking Water Hotline at (800) 426-4791.

UNDERSTANDING WATER QUALITY

When water meets federal standards, there may not be health-based benefits to purchasing bottled water or filtration devices. All water, including bottled water, naturally contains small amounts of some contaminants. Their presence doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk. For more information about contaminants and potential health effects, call the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at (800) 426-4791.
