Ordinance #234 which prohibits directing storm water into the sanitary sewer system. This ordinance, established in 1984, carries a maximum fine of $1,000.00 per day and potential 90-day imprisonment.

3. Q: Where does wastewater go after it leaves my home? A: If connected to the sewer system, all drains in your home connect to a single pipe leading to the street. This pipe collects wastewater from other homes and flows to a central pumping station. Since we lack a treatment facility, our wastewater is pumped to Philadelphia via Lower Southampton Township for treatment and purification.
4. Q: What is the source of the Water Authority's supply? A: The Water Authority obtains approximately 80% from North Penn/North Wales and roughly 20% from three deep municipal wells located throughout town.
