About Us
Golden State Water thanks California customers for their exceptional conservation efforts and encourages all community members to continue using water resources wisely to support the state's drought recovery. Following unusually dry winter periods, residents must embrace conservation as part of California's lifestyle.
On May 9, 2016, Governor Jerry Brown issued an Executive Order permanently prohibiting wasteful water practices. These restrictions include:
- Hosing off sidewalks, driveways and hardscaped areas
- Washing vehicles without a shut-off nozzle
- Operating decorative fountains without water recirculation systems
- Watering landscapes that causes excess runoff
- Irrigation within 48 hours after measurable rainfall
- Watering ornamental turf in public street medians
Golden State Water appreciates customers' ongoing conservation efforts. For more information about drought conditions and water usage guidelines in your area, please visit http://www.gswater.com/drought/ or call 1.800.999.4033.
