This report is based on water quality monitoring results from January 1 to December 31, 2018, unless otherwise noted. Information before January 1, 2018 represents the most recent testing conducted according to regulatory requirements.

Our community enjoys abundant water from the Floridan Aquifer, a vast underground reservoir spanning approximately 100,500 square miles across southern Alabama, southeastern Georgia, southern South Carolina and throughout Florida. The aquifer contains high-quality groundwater protected by confining geological layers. Locally, Keystone Heights serves as a primary recharge area, with additional natural recharge coming from as far away as Georgia.

The Orange Park Grid utilizes 26 wells at 11 separate treatment facilities to extract water from the Floridan Aquifer. These wells reach approximately 1,000 feet deep. After extraction, the water undergoes aeration and disinfection before being distributed to homes.

The Clay County Utility Authority prioritizes safe drinking water above all else. We've implemented comprehensive water source protection and conservation programs to ensure adequate future supply.

We welcome your feedback at our Board of Supervisors meetings, held at 2:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday monthly at our 3176 Old Jennings Rd. facility in Middleburg. Additional information is available on our website at www.clayutility.org. For questions about water quality or to arrange a facility tour, please contact Richard Pino or Amy Palmeri at 904-272-5999.
