Yes. SoftPro Water Systems is the online brand of Quality Water Treatment, Inc., a family-owned water treatment company in business since 1990. We sell water softeners and filters direct to homeowners across the US and support them by phone, email and video for as long as you own the system.

Verified buyers review our systems on our site after delivery, and the live rating is shown at the top of this page. On Trustpilot and the BBB, a small number of customers have reported slow callbacks, missing parts and disagreements over refunds. We reply to each of those reports.

You have 6 months from the ship date to return a SoftPro system, and there is no restocking fee. Before a return we ask for the chance to troubleshoot with you by phone, because most problems come down to a setting, the bypass valve position or water chemistry.

Call for a return authorization number, then send back the complete system, clean and drained, with all parts. Your refund is the purchase price of the system. Original shipping is not refunded and you pay return shipping. Special orders, commercial systems, filter media, replacement cartridges and other consumables, and water test kits are final sale.

You can cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser:

• Tanks: lifetime
• Control valve body: lifetime
• Circuit board and electronics: 7 years
• Piston, seals and spacers on city-water systems: 5 years
• Resin on city-water systems: 10 years, prorated

If a covered part fails, we send the replacement part at no charge and walk you or your installer through the swap by phone or video. You pay shipping on warranty parts, and installation labor is not covered. The warranty applies when the system runs within its rated water conditions.

No. Most of our customers install their own system using our installation guides and videos, and a technician can walk you through it by phone or video. If you prefer, any local plumber or handyman can install it. You do not need a dealer or a certified installer to keep your warranty.

SoftPro systems are assembled in the USA.

No. The SoftPro Elite has no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or app. It uses metered, demand-initiated regeneration: the SoftPro Elite control valve measures the water you use and regenerates only when the resin needs it.

Orders ship in 1 to 3 business days. Shipping is free on systems. Media, cartridges and similar items are not eligible for free shipping.
