ABOUT US
The Walnut Park Mutual Water Company is responsible for securing, maintaining and operating a residential potable water supply system serving investors and residents across approximately 500 acres in Los Angeles County known as the community of Walnut Park.

Our History
Walnut Park Mutual Water Company was incorporated on April 30th, 1914, founded by subdividers Victor Girard Kleinberger and Frank H. Edwards of the Cudahy-Walnut Lands Company. Stock shares were issued to property owners at a rate of one share per lot. The first meeting of organizers and stock subscribers was held in the Herman W. Hellman Building on May 21st, 1914.

Leadership Legacy
The founding organizers included Marco H. Hellman (President of Hellman Commercial Trust and Savings Bank), Fred L. Baker (President of Baker Iron Works), Victor G. Kleinberger (Realtor and Subdivider), and Louis M. Cole (President of Royal Company). Louis M. Cole served as the first President, with Fred L. Baker as Vice President and Victor G. Kleinberger as Secretary.

Infrastructure Development
The company constructed wells, pumping equipment and water mains as the community developed. Each new property owner received one share of stock in the water company, with infrastructure costs covered by the Cudahy-Walnut Lands Company at no additional expense to residents.
