SoftPro™ Catalytic Whole House Carbon Filter for Well Water (Best Seller + Lifetime Warranty)

Well water carries a whole cast of characters you didn't invite — chlorine bite, sulfur stink, sediment, rust. The SoftPro™ Catalytic Whole House Carbon Filter goes after all of it at the point where water enters your home, so every tap, shower, and appliance gets clean water without exception.

Inside is Centaur catalytic carbon — not standard carbon that just traps and hopes, but a media engineered with an enhanced surface structure that actually breaks contaminants down. It dramatically reduces chlorine and chloramine, destroys hydrogen sulfide (that rotten-egg smell) at the source, and captures sediment, silt, and fine rust particles before they ever reach your fixtures.

The system runs on a programmable auto-backwash control valve, so there are no cartridges to remember, buy, or swap. On your schedule, the valve reverses flow through the tank, lifts and rinses the carbon bed, and resettles it — clearing out everything it's caught. Set it once and it keeps working in the background.

Built in the USA and available up to 2.5 cu ft, it's sized to match your household's bathroom count and your well pump's flow rate — so it backwashes properly and performs at full strength for years.

Best for: homes on well water dealing with sulfur odor, chlorine taste, sediment, or rust — and homes on shared/periodically treated well systems needing reliable chlorine reduction.

Pairs well with: a SoftPro water softener. This filter handles chemistry (chlorine, sulfur, sediment); a softener handles hardness (calcium and magnesium scale). Run both in sequence for complete whole-home protection.

It actually solves water's worst problems. Sulfur smell, chlorine bite, rust stains, sediment — this filter is built specifically for what well water throws at a home, not a generic city-water afterthought.

Catalytic carbon outperforms standard carbon. Regular activated carbon just traps contaminants and hopes for the best. Centaur catalytic carbon has an enhanced surface structure that accelerates the chemical breakdown of chloramine, chlorine, and hydrogen sulfide — it doesn't just capture the problem, it transforms it.

Zero babysitting. No cartridges to track down or swap. The auto-backwash cycle cleans the media on a schedule you set, automatically.

Chemical-free operation. Nothing to buy, refill, or dose. It runs on water alone.

Built to last, backed for life. Lifetime limited warranty, free lifetime technical support, and a 6-Month Money-Back Guarantee, if it's not the right fit.

100,000+ happy customers and testing/certification credentials that back it up — IAPMO, WQA Tested, NSF, ISO 9001, ANSI.

Works everywhere. Engineered for well water's toughest conditions, but performs just as well on city water for chlorine and chloramine reduction.

Sizing first. Choose your filter size (1.0–2.5 cu ft) based on bathroom count, and confirm it against your well pump's flow rate — every model has a minimum GPM requirement (6–7 GPM for 1.0–1.5 cu ft, 8–10 GPM for 2.0 cu ft, 11+ GPM for 2.5 cu ft). This matters because the system needs enough flow to properly backwash and clean the media. Measure your pump's flow rate before ordering — it's a simple step that saves a headache later.

Straightforward, one-time install. The system installs at your home's point of entry, before your water heater. It's designed for a confident DIYer or handyman — no specialist required — and comes with a built-in bypass valve, so you can route water around the filter for maintenance or media swaps without shutting off water to the whole house.

Set it and forget it. Once installed, program the control valve's backwash schedule to match your household's usage. From there, the auto-backwash cycle handles cleaning on its own — no manual maintenance beyond that.

Support included. Installation guides are available, and SoftPro's free lifetime technical support team is available to walk you through setup step by step if you need help.

Shipping: Always free (excludes AK, HI, PR). In stock and shipped within 1–3 days from whichever SoftPro warehouse (Texas, Arizona, or Indiana) is closest to you.

Lifetime Limited Warranty. SoftPro backs this system with a lifetime limited warranty (media is not included in that coverage). If a warranty part ever needs replacing, SoftPro ships it to you directly. Labor isn't covered, but replacement is a straightforward DIY or handyman job — and free lifetime technical support means you're never doing it alone. Full terms are on the warranty page.

6-Month Money-Back Guarantee. Try the system in your home for a full 6-Month. If it's not the best water decision you've made, send it back — no long-term commitment, no risk.

Free Lifetime Technical Support. Questions during install, setup, or years down the line — SoftPro's support team is available for the life of your system, not just the first 6-Month.
