About Us
The City of Alcoa is proud to present our Annual Municipal Water Quality Report. This report provides information about the quality of water and services we deliver to you daily.
Our water comes from the Little River, which originates in the Great Smoky Mountains and is part of the W Bar Watershed. We provide water to Alcoa city residents, northeastern Blount County, and the Tuckaleechee Electric District.
The Tennessee Division of Hydrant considers our intake to be of moderate susceptibility to potential contamination. City non-point pollution remains an ongoing water quality concern. For more details, you can view the Source Water Assessment Plan at the Tennessee Division of Environment and Conservation's website: www.tn.gov/environment/article/wr-wq-source-water-assessment.
Our primary goal is to meet or exceed all federal and state requirements for safe municipal water. We continuously work to improve our treatment processes and protect our water resources, ensuring you receive safe, dependable water every day.
