We're pleased to present this year's Annual Quality Water Report. This document details the quality of water and services we deliver to you daily. Our constant goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable water supply.
We want you to understand our efforts to continually enhance the water treatment process and safeguard our water resources. We remain committed to ensuring the quality of your water.
Our water sources are three wells located at the northwest edge of Martinsville that draw from the surrounding aquifer. A source water assessment plan is available at our office with additional information including potential contamination sources.
I'm happy to report that our municipal water meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements. This report outlines our water quality and its significance. For questions about this report or your water service, please contact Scotty Manley at the City of Martinsville Water Utility, 765-342-2707.
We encourage our valued customers to stay informed about their water utility. To learn more, please attend our regularly scheduled meetings held on the first and third Mondays of each month in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Martinsville City Hall (59 S Jefferson St, Martinsville, IN 46151).
The City of Martinsville Water Utility systematically monitors components in your municipal water as required by Federal and State regulations. Our monitoring occurred from January 1st through December 31st, 2017.
As water travels over land or underground, it can collect various substances or contaminants including microbes, inorganic and organic chemicals, and radioactive materials. All municipal water, including bottled water, can reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of certain constituents. It's important to understand that the presence of these elements doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
