About Us
The Water Department's primary reconstruction project this year involves renovating Isadore Road from Portage Road to Maria Generate. Additionally, we're building a new utility garage adjacent to our office headquarters. Looking ahead, we're planning for Company 51 reconstruction in coming years while continuing to upgrade aging mains and infrastructure throughout our system.
Our ongoing initiatives include annual leak detection programs and cross-connection control efforts. Recently, we've assumed responsibility for stormwater management and the private well program. Residents with questions about these services should contact the Department of Public Utilities directly.
With lead contamination making headlines in recent years, we want to assure our customers that our distribution system contains minimal lead components. We prioritize replacing any infrastructure that might contain lead. This report confirms we follow established monitoring protocols for lead and remain well within regulatory guidelines. Our staff is always available to provide additional information when needed.
