About Us
The Grand Chute Utility is pleased to present a summary of water quality delivered to you throughout 2017. We aim to keep you informed about the excellent water and services we've provided over the past year.
Our water comes from The City of Appleton, which treats surface water from Lake Winnebago. Our system includes a 750,000 gallon and a one-million-gallon storage tank, 3 booster pumping stations, and 123.18 miles of water mains ranging from 6" to 16" in diameter that supply water to town residents, businesses, and industries.
We pump approximately 1.5 to 2.5 million gallons daily and currently manage over 8,400 water meters. The Grand Chute Sanitary District regularly monitors your water for contaminants in accordance with Federal and local regulations.
For additional information, you can call the Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791 or visit EPA's Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water website at www.epa.gov. EPA has prepared a consumer resource called "Water on Tap" that provides further information and is available online. You may also contact your state drinking water office through EPA's Safe Drinking Water Hotline.
This report was prepared by Grand Chute Utilities using technical information from the American Water Works Association and Environmental Protection Agency. For questions about this report or our water utility, please contact Todd Prahl, Town Public Works Superintendent, at 920-832-1581.
