Pennsylvania Water Utility Companies

Warwick Township Water & Sewer Authority (WTWSA) is committed to delivering the highest quality water to our customers. We're pleased to present our Annual Water Quality Report for 2017, which contains essential information about your water supply.

The attached reports from our water providers (North Wales Water Authority and Aqua PA) offer important details about your water source. Note that both providers have multiple sources, so not all information in their reports may apply to the Warwick Township system. Our water meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements with no violations.

Our goal is to provide safe, reliable water through a system designed to meet all regulatory standards. While our water is disinfected with chlorine, it isn't completely sterile. Customer plumbing systems, including treatment devices, may remove, introduce, or enhance contaminants. We recommend proper maintenance of all internal plumbing systems.

WATER SOURCE - PSWID #1090127
WTWSA purchases surface water from Aqua Pennsylvania through multiple interconnections. In summer 2013, we completed an interconnection with North Wales Water Authority (NWWA) to provide a cost-effective and redundant surface water supply.

Many residents have inquired about contamination issues affecting nearby water systems. These problems primarily impact groundwater (well) sources in other municipalities. WTWSA doesn't use groundwater sources - 100% of our water comes from Aqua Pennsylvania and North Wales Water Authority, using surface water sources that remain below advisory levels for perfluorinated compounds found in other local supplies.

Private well owners seeking information about water safety can contact the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection at 484-250-5980.

STANDARDS AND TESTING
To ensure quality and safety, WTWSA, NWWA, and Aqua PA monitor for all federally and state-mandated constituents, plus unregulated substances like radon and microbial pathogens. This report shows water quality monitoring results from 2017.

QUESTIONS?
We want our customers to be informed about their water quality. For questions about this report, please contact Dan Ervin, Superintendent, at 215-343-3584 during business hours (Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm). Learn more at our regularly scheduled meetings, typically held the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the WTWSA Meeting Room, 1733 Township Greene, Jamison, PA.

Executive Director Michael Sullivan and our Board of Directors have taken steps to ensure a safe and abundant water supply well into the future. We ask customers to help protect our water sources, which are vital to our community, lifestyle, and children's future.

Este informe contiene información muy importante sobre su agua potable. Tradúzcalo o hable con alguien que lo entienda bien.

Your water is routinely tested for constituents according to Federal and State laws. The data shows detected contaminants tested by WTWSA during 2017, including weighted averages plus minimum and maximum levels. All drinking water, including bottled water, may reasonably contain at least small amounts of some constituents, which doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.

WTWSA, Aqua, and NWWA regularly test for more than 80 EPA-regulated contaminants plus at least another 80 parameters to monitor and ensure water quality. We encourage residents to protect water quality through responsible lawn care chemical use and proper disposal of household hazardous waste, unused pharmaceuticals, and medical products.
