Lake Konomoc serves as the primary reservoir, storing over 1.2 billion gallons of water. After treatment at Konomoc, water travels through 210 miles of piping, four pumping stations, and six storage tanks with a combined capacity of 15 million gallons.
Distribution and Treatment
The water system serves approximately 45,000 residents through 14,000 water connections. The facility processes over two billion gallons annually using multiple treatment methods: coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and carbon filtration. The finished water receives lime for pH adjustment, sodium hypochlorite for disinfection, fluoride for dental health, and phosphate for corrosion control.
