Our systems will handle up to 6 full bathrooms and maintain a high 12 gallon per minute (GPM) flow rate.

Other inferior systems, fail to provide 12 GPM flow rates , which can cause low water pressure throughout your home.

a) Good news… With this system, your home should experience no reduction in water pressure, or very little.

This system is designed for high-flow performance. It’s engineered with large 1” and larger internal plumbing to keep that water pressure up. This is usually more than adequate for large homes.

a) We love this question... Our systems are designed to provide superior performace to maintain a proper water pressure throughout your home from 1 to 6 bathrooms. We don't want you to experience low water pressure.

Additionally, we upgrade our prefilter to combine both a carbon/ sediment filter (versus others with only a carbon prefilter). Ours removes sediments as well as other contaminants to safeguard your family and the system's media.

Simply, well water tends to have a lot of contaminants.

If a salt-free system is considered, proper pre-treatment is required. The iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, copper and other contaminants must be removed. Otherwise, the salt-free systems Filtersorb SP media may become fouled and ineffective.

a) No, the water hardness will not change.

Salt-free systems doenot remove the hard water minerals from your water.

It simply crystallizes the hard water minerals to prevent the minerals from sticking and forming scale.

The upgraded Filtersorb media in the SoftPro Salt-Free tank will generally last 6 to 10 years (and in some cases much longer). This is dependent on water quality and usage.

The Big Blue Sediment cartridge filter is typically replaced every 3 months or sooner. The decrease in home water pressure will indicate that the sediment filter will need replacement.

Note: If upgrading to Whole House Upflow Catalytic Carbon & Bone Char Filter, Big Blue Carbon Cartridge Filter will be replaced with a standard sediment cartridge filter.

2) Testing. You can use a simple home water testing kit or strip, or use a laboratory.

3) Estimate. Our Water Intelligent Engine can estimate your water hardness. You'll see it in our Water Analysis Report.

Softener sizes that are larger than 64,000 grain capacity will have resin partially loaded and include additional resin with the shipment.
