Our municipal water program delivers water to over 98,000 Albany residents, plus commercial, institutional and industrial accounts through approximately 29,500 service connections. We also supply the Towns of Bethlehem and Guilderland through water purchase agreements.
In 2017, our total water treatment reached 6,392,600,256 gallons, with daily production averaging 17,514,110 gallons. Peak daily production hit 21,494,408 gallons. Of the total, 6,339,636,756 gallons were distributed to customers, with the remaining 53,013,500 gallons used for filter maintenance and plant operations.
Albany water customers were charged $2.67 per 75 cubic feet in 2017, equivalent to $3.57 per thousand gallons.
