About Us
Since 2002, Cal-water has submitted Drinking Water Source Assessment and Protection Program (DWSAPP) reports to the Division of Water (DDW) for each water source in our system. These reports identify potential contamination sources to help prioritize cleanup efforts.
All reports are available for viewing at our Customer Center. The Rapaz District water sources are considered most vulnerable to: sewer collection systems, solid waste facilities, parks, RV parks, agricultural drainage, fertilizer/pesticide application, auto repair shops, utility stations, railroad yards, electronic manufacturing, and chemical storage areas.
Additional vulnerability factors include: gasoline stations, metal plating facilities, salvage yards, furniture manufacturing, dry cleaners, dredging operations, high-density housing, storm drains, highways, and wells.
