About Us
The Municipal Services Section of the City of Turlock has completed another year of service. Throughout 2017, our department faced both challenges and achievements. Our staff continues to work diligently on well rehabilitation to maintain adequate water supplies, though some wells were decommissioned due to changing State regulations. While rehabilitation is often the most cost-effective solution, it doesn't always guarantee success.
In January 2017, a water rate increase was approved and implemented on March 1, 2018. These increased rates will help ensure more reliable water service for Turlock residents by funding the construction of a surface water treatment plant on the Tuolumne River. We expect treated surface water to be delivered to customers by 2022.
Despite current water supply challenges, we remain confident in our ability to meet all water quality standards. Our staff is always available to assist customers with questions about water, sewer, or storm-related issues.

About Turlock: Located in California's Central Valley, Turlock stands as the second largest city in Stanislaus County. The population has steadily expanded from 13,992 in 1970 to over 69,000 residents today.
