Community Water System proudly serves north central Arkansas's water needs. Utilizing Greers Ferry Lake as its primary source, the system began operations in 1970, initially serving approximately 1500 customers across Greers Ferry, Higden, Edgemont and Fairfield Bay.

From these modest beginnings, CWS has expanded significantly and currently provides water to roughly 6470 retail customers and 10 wholesale clients throughout portions of Van Buren, Cleburne, Faulkner and Stone Counties in Arkansas. This represents a service territory exceeding 200 square miles and reaching approximately 70,000 individuals.

CWS takes pride in delivering premium water with minimal service disruptions. This is achieved through implementing cutting-edge technology in water treatment, transmission and monitoring systems, complemented by a highly qualified workforce dedicated to continuous improvement. The utility remains committed to innovation while providing customers with the highest quality water available.
