About Us
Global Water - Santa Cruz Water Company (SCWC), public water system number AZ04-11-131, is committed to providing residents with water that meets all Federal and State quality standards. Our team conducts rigorous testing to ensure your tap water is safe for consumption.
Our water is sourced entirely from local groundwater, which is treated with chlorine for disinfection and stored in secure reservoirs. The distribution system utilizes booster pumps and storage tanks to maintain consistent pressure and ensure adequate fire protection throughout the community.
Water resources in Arizona face significant challenges. Through our partnership with Global Water-Palo Verde Utilities Company, Maricopa maintains one of the lowest per-capita water usage rates in the state. We apply the principle of "right water for the right use," utilizing recycled water for landscape irrigation, aquifer recharge, and other non-potable applications.
Community involvement is crucial to protecting our water supply. Improper disposal of chemicals, oils, or other contaminants can eventually impact our groundwater quality and increase treatment costs. We encourage all residents to dispose of household chemicals properly and be mindful of what enters our sewer system to safeguard our precious water resources.

Global Water Resources, Inc. operates as a water resource management company that owns, manages, and operates water, wastewater, and recycled water utilities in strategically located communities, primarily in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona.
Our integrated approach, which we call "Total Water Management," focuses on managing the complete water cycle by operating water, wastewater, and recycled water utilities within the same geographic areas. This strategy helps conserve water while maximizing its economic and social value.
We implement Total Water Management to support sustainable communities in areas where we anticipate growth will exceed the current potable water supply. Our model addresses critical issues of water supply and scarcity, applying principles of conservation through water reclamation and reuse.
As of September 30, 2018, we operate twelve water and wastewater utilities with 41,546 active service connections. Our service areas are strategically planned to eventually serve thousands more connections as the communities grow.
