Are you installing a new irrigation system at your home? Property owners installing in-ground irrigation systems must secure a plumbing permit from the Loudoun State Building and Development Department. Your water supply must be protected with a Reduced Pressure Zone backflow prevention device (RPZ).
This device requires testing by a certified technician with results submitted to the city before activating your irrigation system. Annual testing is required thereafter. For additional information, please call (703) 771-2762 or visit www.leesburgva.gov/backflow.
