North Kingstown's Municipal Water Supply

We are pleased to present North Kingstown's 2017 Water Quality Report. This document aims to inform residents about water quality and daily services provided. Our ongoing mission is delivering safe, reliable water while continuously improving treatment processes and protecting our valuable water resources.

The full report is available online at www.northkingstown.org. For questions about this report or your water service, please contact Leslie E. Licardi at 268-1520 or G. Timothy Cranston at 268-1522.

To learn more, we encourage you to attend Groundwater Panel meetings, typically held the first Thursday monthly at 3:00 PM in the Municipal Offices Meeting Room, 100 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown.

Our water source comes entirely from groundwater. In 2017, North Kingstown Water operated eleven municipal wells drawing from the Hunt-Annaquatucket-Pettaquamscutt (HAP) aquifer system. Our average daily usage was 2.85 million gallons. The HAP system has been designated a "Sole Source Aquifer" by the EPA, meaning no alternative drinking water source exists.

The North Kingstown Division of Water Supply regularly tests for over 100 substances as required by Federal and State regulations. These include both regulated constituents with enforceable Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) and unregulated substances with health advisory guidelines. This report covers monitoring from January 1 through December 31, 2017.
