About Us
Our water originates from the Lower Floridan Aquifer, an underground reservoir located about half a mile beneath the earth's surface in many areas. This natural reservoir is replenished by rainfall that undergoes a thorough filtration process as it passes through hundreds of feet of rock layers.
After extracting water from the aquifer, we implement proper treatment protocols to ensure safety and enhance quality for all residents. Our commitment to conservation includes year-round educational initiatives about protecting this precious natural resource through community events, strategic communications, and student programs.
We utilize advanced ozone treatment technology at our water treatment facilities to deliver high-quality, fresh-tasting tap water. This process effectively oxidizes hydrogen sulfide to improve taste and odor while reducing necessary chlorine levels. The result is clean, refreshing water with excellent clarity.
As mandated by regulations, we add chlorine to maintain water quality during distribution through our pipeline network. Fluoride is also added to promote dental health. We adjust pH levels with sodium hydroxide to prevent copper and lead leaching from residential plumbing systems, which is the primary source of these elements in our service area.
Security is paramount at all our water facilities, featuring comprehensive protection systems including intrusion detection, alarms, surveillance cameras, and perimeter fencing. Armed personnel and law enforcement regularly patrol these critical infrastructure sites. Rest assured that we maintain constant vigilance in monitoring and protecting our water facilities, with your water safety as our highest priority.
