Best Tasting Water In The State of Kentucky 2000 and 2005

North Marshall Water District has grown tremendously since October 16, 1961, when 75 local residents petitioned the court to establish a water district. Now, 50 years later, we serve more than 5,400 customers. We currently maintain over 200 miles of water lines with two active treatment facilities capable of producing 4 million gallons daily. Our growth continues steadily with no anticipated slowdown.

We employ five full-time certified operators with 24-hour on-call service to assist with any needs. Our office maintains two full-time employees and a part-time clerk to serve customers efficiently. A district manager oversees all operational issues, while a board of five commissioners governs the district.

At North Marshall Water District, we continuously strive to enhance our service quality, customer support, and operational efficiency. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable municipal water at reasonable rates. We're committed to improving our water treatment processes and protecting our valuable water resources.

Information About Lead
Elevated lead levels can cause serious health problems, particularly in children. Lead in municipal water primarily comes from materials and components in service lines and home plumbing. While your local public water system provides high-quality water, they cannot control the variety of materials used in plumbing components. When water sits for several hours, minimize potential lead exposure by flushing your tap for 30 seconds to two minutes before using water for consumption. If concerned about lead, consider having your water tested. Information about lead in water, testing methods, and exposure reduction is available at the Safe Drinking Water Hotline (800-426-4791) or http://www.epa.gov/safewater/lead.
