Mayfield Electric & Water Drinking Water Company and CDC
- How are utilities billed? Utilities follow a monthly billing cycle. Water and sewer fees are calculated as a single invoice. The automated meter reading system records your water usage on the same date each month. Mayfield Utilities attempts to bill your account consistently, though this may vary due to weekends and holidays.
- How is my due date determined? Your utility bill due date is established by City ordinance and falls 21 days after the invoice date. The specific billing date depends on your home's geographic location. Due dates cannot be altered except for requests to set them to either the 10th or 30th of each month, which would also change your billing date.
- Are special billing programs available? No, Mayfield Utilities does not currently offer specialized billing options such as budget billing or senior/low-income discounts.
- Do I pay utility bills during extended absences? If water service remains active at the street, you'll be charged for any usage plus the monthly fixed fees for water and sewer. To halt billing charges completely, water must be turned off at the street, which is provided at no additional cost.
- Does Mayfield Utilities offer leak adjustments? Customers are responsible for all water measured by their meter. For significant leaks resulting in higher-tier charges, or if documentation shows water didn't discharge to the sanitary sewer, adjustments may be considered in certain cases. Contact the Utility Billing Office directly.
