About Us
Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) is pleased to present our 2017 Annual Water Quality Report. This document provides essential information about the water quality delivered to you throughout 2017, including source details, composition, and regulatory compliance.
Our water comes from eight groundwater wells strategically located across the property near commercial establishments. These wells tap into the Upper Floridan Aquifer at depths ranging from 340 to 900 feet. We're proud to confirm that our municipal water meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements.
In 2017, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection conducted a Source Water Assessment of our system to identify potential contamination sources near our wells. The assessment revealed 7 potential contamination sources with susceptibility levels between 6.66 and 111.11. Assessment results are available at the FDEP SWAPP website (https://fldep.dep.state.fl.us/swapp/) or by contacting Jerry Hubbard at 407-824-4841.

THE DISTRICT BEGAN COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING: OCTOBER 1988 – 1991 – The District initiated its most ambitious planning effort to date, culminating in the adoption of a new plan in 1991. This updated plan was significantly more comprehensive and addressed the District's future within a broader geographic context. Since that time, the RCID Comprehensive Plan has balanced the competing needs for flexibility and specificity through a performance-based approach to planning.
