South Jordan City Municipal Water Report Info

If you own a home built before the 1970s and your service line hasn't been replaced, there's a high probability it's galvanized steel. It's strongly recommended that you replace this line. These aging pipes often begin to leak, causing taste and odor issues while potentially leaching lead and cadmium into your water supply.

The District is working to replace all galvanized lines from the main to the meter. HOMEOWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE WATER LINE FROM THE METER TO THE HOUSE.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
The District sent a letter on May 17th, 2018 to all irrigation customers discussing the possibility of metering irrigation water in the near future to conserve water for projected population growth. CLICK HERE to read this important educational letter.

BILLING
Municipal water is billed bimonthly based on actual consumption as read from water meters. During winter when snow covers meters, usage will be estimated. Failure to pay the municipal water bill for 4 consecutive months will result in service disconnection. A warning letter will be sent prior to disconnection.

PUBLIC MEETINGS
The Board of Trustees and Management meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the District Office located at 407 W 3100 S. Public input is always welcome.

IRRIGATION WATER
Irrigation water becomes available on the Monday closest to April 15th. Before the activation date, residents must turn off their master valves to prevent flooding. Watering is prohibited between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. First violations receive a warning, with subsequent violations incurring a $30 fine that increases by $30 for each additional violation throughout the irrigation season.
