St. Peters Municipal Water Company and CDC- What is the Held Check Policy? The Held Check Policy is a Board Policy within the Finance Policies that states Checks cannot be released without Board Approval until they meet one of the exceptions indexed within the policy.
- When will I receive a commission from an invoice sent? The Central Accounts Payable office processes invoices for payment once per week with exceptions for holidays, and the Held Check Policy within the Financial Policies. For an invoice to be covered, it must first be entered by the department the vendor is contracted with for approval.
- I need a second copy of my 1099-MISC Form? For a copy of your 1099-MISC Form contact the Accounts Payable Office by email at accountspayable@co.muskegon.mi.us or phone (231) 724-6214 and a second one will be sent to you.
- Is automatic bill pay secure and safe? Yes, both the County of Muskegon and our financial institution are required to keep your banking information confidential.
- Will I receive a bill? Yes, you simply won't need to write a check to make your payment. The payment will be automatically deducted on the due date as indicated on your invoice.
- What if I don't agree with the amount charged? Contact us at 231-724-4721 as you normally would with a billing question. You need to contact us within 10 days of the billing date to allow time to resolve issues before the payment due date.
- Once I send in this form will my next bill be paid automatically? Not necessarily. You will need to allow 30 days for your enrollment to be processed. Continue to pay as you normally would until your bill indicates that you were signed up for automatic payment.
