About Us
We're proud to present this year's Annual Water Quality Report. Our municipal water meets all EPA health standards. This is our 15th annual report to you, our customers, providing information about water quality and services we deliver daily.
This report can be found at our office or online at www.Sweetwaterutilities.com. Our primary goal is providing you with safe, reliable water. We're committed to ensuring your water is safe and complies with all federal and state requirements.
Our water comes from two sources: Sweetwater Creek and Cannon Spring, which combine at our treatment facility. Customers on the eastern side of our service area also receive water from Tellico Area Services System.
The Tennessee Department of Environment has completed a Source Water Assessment Program Report for untreated water sources. This report evaluates the vulnerability of untreated water to potential contamination. To ensure safety, all public water systems treat and regularly test their water. Our sources were rated as reasonably susceptible to contamination. For more information about the Tennessee Source Water Assessment Program, visit www.tn.gov/environment/program-areas/wr-water-resources/water-quality/source-water-assessment.html or contact us directly for specific test results.
