Water provided by the University of New Mexico is reliable and exceeds all state and federal water quality standards. This report details the quality of municipal water supplied by the University of New Mexico (UNM) primarily to the Main Campus area.

The analysis is based on tests conducted during 2017 and recent previous years by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Drinking Water Bureau (DWB), NMED-certified independent laboratories, and UNM staff.

We regularly test for numerous regulated contaminants annually and have only detected 12 of these substances (all at levels significantly below regulatory thresholds) for the 2017 reporting period. This report fulfills Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requirements for "Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR)" and contains information about water sources, constituents, and associated health implications. UNM remains dedicated to delivering safe, reliable water. We encourage you to review this report thoroughly and contact UNM's Department of Safety & Risk Services at 277-2753 with any questions.
