Western Berks Water delivers premium quality, award-winning municipal water to nine municipalities throughout Berks County, PA. Since our founding in 1974, we've consistently provided customers with bulk water that meets or exceeds regulatory standards at stable, affordable rates.
Our mission at Western Berks Water is delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable water service with integrity. We work diligently to offer our customers water at reasonable rates while maintaining responsible business practices and environmental stewardship.
We strive to understand customer needs to ensure we meet future compliance requirements, maintain superior water quality, and accommodate capacity demands. Western Berks processes and delivers bulk water to Wyomissing, West Reading, and Shillington Boroughs, which then distribute it through their municipal systems.
Beyond serving these boroughs, Shillington also provides water to Mohnton Borough, Wernersville Borough, and Spring, Cumru, Bern and Lower Heidelberg Townships. The three founding boroughs established the Authority in 1969, with plant construction beginning in 1972. Operations commenced in June 1974, with water delivery starting August 1, 1974.
