In compliance with State regulations, we present this annual report to inform you about the quality of your municipal water and services we provide daily. This report aims to increase your awareness about your tap water and highlight the importance of protecting our water sources.

Our ongoing mission is to deliver safe, reliable municipal water. We remain committed to enhancing water treatment processes and distribution systems. The Williamson Water Treatment Facility (WTF) uses Lake Ontario as its primary source, offering an abundant supply of clean water. The facility is located in Pultneyville, NY, with a mailing address of Williamson Water Resources, 6380 Rt. 21 Suite 2, Williamson, NY 14589.

Both the Water Filtration Plant and distribution network are managed by Town of Williamson staff under the guidance of the Highway Superintendent and Town Board. System information is regularly discussed during Town Board meetings held at Town Hall (6380 Rt. 21) on the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly at 7:30 PM. All residents are welcome to attend.

Where Does Our Water Come From?
Our municipal water sources include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. As water travels across land or underground, it dissolves naturally occurring minerals and sometimes radioactive materials, and may pick up substances from animal or human activities. Potential contaminants include microbiological pollutants, inorganic substances, pesticides, herbicides, organic chemicals, and radioactive materials. State and EPA regulations limit contaminant levels in public water systems to ensure safety.

Service Area & Production
The WTF serves businesses and residences in Williamson, East Williamson, and Pultneyville areas, serving approximately 6,600 people. We also supply water to the Town of Sodus, parts of Ontario, and the Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority. Emergency connections with neighboring systems ensure continuity during treatment disruptions.

Last year, our facility treated an average of 1.84 million gallons daily from Lake Ontario, totaling 640,520,000 gallons annually. Of this, 584,883,665 gallons were distributed to customers, including 105,488,600 gallons to Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority, 11,843,359 gallons to Sodus, 282,382,260 gallons to Cadbury/Motts, and 183,875,946 gallons to Williamson residents.
