The mineral tank and brine tank generally last a lifetime unless damaged by weather, acts of god, improper installation or excessive water pressure above 80 PSI.

The 8% resin will last up to 20 years depending on water quality and usage. Water quality will affect longevity, especially with well water.

Recommendations Regarding Salt (Well Water):

• When the brine tank is almost empty, add 1-3 bags at that time only. This will help reduce bridging and mushing.

 • Type of Salt & Potassium Chloride should be pellet or coarse crystals.

 • If iron is present, use salt with iron reduction.

The chemical-free Katalox media last approximately 5-10 years depending on your water quality, iron, manganese and sulfur levels, or high usage.

Certain water conditions and quality may cause the media to be replaced within 3 to 5 five years.

An average family of four generally requires only a single bag of calcite (0.5 cu.ft.) every 6 months.

Adding calcite media is simple through the fill port that is located on the tank shoulder.
