About Us
California's Golden State Water thanks residents for their exceptional conservation efforts during drought conditions. We encourage all community members to continue practicing water-conscious habits as part of our state's recovery path.
Following several dry winter seasons, Governor Jerry Brown implemented permanent restrictions on wasteful water practices on May 9, 2016. These include prohibitions against:
- Hosing sidewalks, driveways and other hardscapes
- Washing vehicles without a shut-off nozzle
- Operating decorative fountains without recirculation systems
- Irrigating landscapes that cause excessive runoff
- Watering within 48 hours after measurable precipitation
- Irrigating ornamental turf in public street medians with potable water
Golden State Water appreciates our customers' ongoing conservation efforts. For more information about local drought conditions and water restrictions, please visit http://www.gswater.com/drought/ or call 1.800.999.4033.
