Recent Changes and On-Going Projects
The residential water meter replacement program continues throughout the community. The Division upgrades 5/8" residential water meters at no cost to residents, who receive advance notification of scheduled replacements.

Infrastructure Improvements
The Luther Pumping Station rehabilitation began in 2017 and should be completed by spring 2018. This critical facility transfers water from Luther Reservoir to Manchester Reservoir for storage. Storm water system upgrades around Orr's Pond commence in March, while Blake's Pond Dam replacement begins early 2018 - essential for maintaining water levels at the Wading Water Treatment Facility.

Emergency Preparedness
Construction of an interconnection with Pawtucket is planned for 2018, creating an emergency water supply option for Attleboro residents during service disruptions.

Vulnerable Populations Advisory
Some individuals may have increased vulnerability to water contaminants. Those with compromised immune systems - including cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients, people with HIV/AIDS, elderly individuals, and infants - should consult healthcare providers about their municipal water consumption. Water Source Information
Water sources include rivers, lakes, reservoirs, streams and wells. As water travels over land or underground, it dissolves natural minerals and can accumulate contaminants from animal or human activities. Potential contaminants include microbial organisms, inorganic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, industrial chemicals, and radioactive materials. EPA regulations limit contaminant levels in public water systems to ensure safety. Cross Connection Information
A cross connection occurs when drinking water pipes connect to contaminated sources. For example, when spraying fertilizer with a hose attachment, pressure drops could cause fertilizer to be suctioned back into your home's water supply. Backflow prevention devices, available at hardware stores, can prevent this hazard. Since 1994, check valves have been installed at new service connections. The Attleboro Water Department recommends inexpensive hose bib vacuum breakers for all indoor and outdoor hose connections to protect your home's water supply.

1. Excise, Personal Property, and Real Estate bills cannot be paid online after the due date. Please pay overdue bills at City Hall.
2. Water Bills can still be paid online after the due date, but late fees may apply. Call Customer Service at 1-800-553-5191 for current amounts due.

• Electronic Check: Have a check ready when paying online to access your account number and bank routing number. A $0.25 processing fee applies to all electronic check payments.
• Credit Card: MasterCard, Visa and Discover accepted. A convenience fee applies for each online payment, charged by the credit card service company. The fee appears separately and is totaled with the tax amount. (See Fee Schedule)
