Road construction began the week of October 15, 2018. Construction activities include excavation, sewer pipe installation, sewer manhole repair, and roadway paving. The Town of Maynard has contracted with N. Granese and Sons, Inc to complete these roadway and sewer construction services.
UPDATE 17-Jan-2019: Please be advised, the 129 Parker Street Downstream Sewer Project is progressing, with construction moving to Powder Mill Road/Route 62 starting Monday 01/28/2019. We will be replacing substantial sections of water and sewer mains located at the roadway centerline. Due to the pipes' location, both traffic lanes will be closed during active construction.
Powder Mill Road/Route 62 between Waltham Street and the Maynard Elks Lodge will be closed to through traffic from 7:00AM-3:00PM Monday – Friday during construction. Residents and local business patrons will maintain property access. Public Works is collaborating with the Police Department to place detour signs and informational message boards ahead of construction. The School Department has been notified and is coordinating with Dee Bus services on school bus route adjustments. We anticipate construction on Powder Mill Road/Route 62 will take approximately seven weeks, weather permitting.
