California Mens Colony Municipal Water Company and CDC- How do I apply for water service in Galveston, TX? Visit our office at 823 25th, City Hall Building, first floor and complete a utility application.
- Is there a deposit required? Yes. A $150.00 deposit is required for residential service only, plus a $15.00 service fee.
- Is there any way the deposit can be waived? Yes. If you provide a letter of credit from a current utility with at least 12 months of good payment history, this can replace the deposit requirement.
- Is the deposit refundable? Yes, after one year of timely payment history.
- Is there a deposit for commercial services? Yes. The minimum deposit for commercial accounts is $200.00.
- Are deposits for commercial accounts refundable? No. The deposit will be applied to final bills when service is discontinued.
- I am renting and need water service, what documents do I need? A current lease agreement and proof of identity.
- I am purchasing property and need water service, what documents do I need? Closing/settlement papers and proof of identity.
- I need water service for a commercial property, what documents do I need? Tax ID number, a lease agreement if renting, closing papers if purchased, and proof of identification.

- Can I apply for water service over the phone? No. We can provide an application by fax, or you must visit our location at 823 25th Street, City Hall Building in Galveston.

- Can I view my bill online? Yes. Visit our website at https://galvestontx.epayub.com to view your bill online.
- Is automatic bank draft available? Yes. Contact a Water Billing Customer Service Representative at 409-797-3550 Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm to register. If already registered online, login to your account and click 'Edit' for AutoPay under Account Settings.
- Is the application for water service available online? Yes. Please visit our Utility Billing Forms section.
- What's your fax number? Our fax number is (409) 242-2148.
- What are your hours of operation? Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm for all services except new connections, which are available 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
