Sample ID count: Water professionals collect samples throughout the water system for testing at our state-of-the-art laboratory, certified by the rigorous Environmental Lab Accreditation Program (ELAP). Scientists, chemists, and microbiologists test water for approximately 292 constituents using equipment sensitive enough to detect levels as small as one part per trillion.
To maintain ELAP accreditation, all scientists must pass annual blind-study proficiency tests for each water quality test performed. Results are entered into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), advanced software enabling quick responses to water quality changes and effective analysis of trends for future planning.
