The City of Bogalusa delivers high-quality municipal water from a network of seven deep wells (approximately 1500 feet deep). These wells draw from the Amite Aquifer, providing fresh water to over 5,000 local accounts.
Each property is equipped with a water meter that measures usage in 100-gallon increments. The small red star-shaped dial rotates as water flows through - the faster it moves, the higher your consumption rate. Readings are transmitted digitally to the City Hall water system server.
