Water Quality Information
We're pleased to report that our municipal water meets all federal and state requirements. The City of Callaway holds regular Town Board of Commissioners meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday monthly at the Callaway Arts and Conference Center (500 Callaway Park Way) to address resident concerns. Water Quality Monitoring
The City of Callaway formally monitors lead and copper levels, chlorine levels, bacteriological content, and conducts additional D/DBP monitoring. The Bay Area Water Treatment Plant monitors for all other contaminants as required by Federal and State regulations. This report covers monitoring from January 1 to December 31, 2017, with some earlier data presented when relevant.
Understanding Contaminants
EPA requires monitoring of over 80 water contaminants. Those listed in the Water Quality Test Results table are the only ones detected in your water. All municipal water, including bottled water, may reasonably contain small amounts of some contaminants, which doesn't necessarily indicate a health risk.
