How do I differentiate between traffic citations and village ordinance/parking tickets?
Traffic citations display "Illinois Citation and Complaint" at the top, while ordinance violations show "Ordinance Violation Ticket" in the top left corner. Traffic citations must be paid through the Kane County Circuit Court Clerk's office at 540 S Randall Rd, St Charles (630) 232-3413. Online payment is available at http://www.Cic.Co.Kane.Il.Us/. Village ordinance tickets can be paid at the Police Department or Village Hall during business hours, or by mail (no cash).

Can I file a police report anytime, or do I need an appointment?
Reports can be made at any time without an appointment. Simply call the Police Department, and an officer will be dispatched to your location. Alternatively, you can visit the station to file a report in person.
