The Cooper City Utility Division's primary goal is operating water treatment facilities and wastewater management systems that fulfill community needs. Our dedicated team maintains the water distribution network and wastewater collection infrastructure while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements to deliver high-quality water to residents.

The Division also oversees stormwater inlets and drainage systems on all PUBLIC roadways. Private road drainage systems remain the responsibility of respective homeowner associations. Minor standing water in low areas that drains within 24 hours after rainfall is considered acceptable. Please note that the City is responsible for the water system only up to your meter - water lines from the meter to your home are the homeowner's responsibility.

How do I locate a street not shown on my map?

The Fire Department maintains Street Guides at all fire stations, administrative offices, and in emergency vehicles. These guides are frequently updated with new subdivisions, directions, maps, and address ranges. If you need help finding an address, visit us, call, or email - we're happy to assist. Please don't use 9-1-1 for directions; instead, call the Administrative Office at 832-595-3600.

How do I report a non-emergency incident?

Please call 9-1-1 for any fire or medical emergency, including medical non-emergencies. For other types of calls, contact the Rosenberg Communications Center at 832-595-3700. Don't call the fire station directly as crews may be away for training or responding to emergencies.

Why am I billed for my ambulance trip when Fort Bend EMS provided transport?

Charges for EMS supplies help cover equipment, supplies, and medications used before transferring care to Fort Bend EMS. Most insurance plans include coverage for EMS transports. If you're unable to pay, contact Fort Bend Patient Account Services at 281-633-7064.

Who repairs leaking fire hydrants?

Fire hydrant maintenance falls under the City's Public Works Department. Report issues through Citizen Relations at (832) 595-3301 during business hours or through the Contact Us Form online. For emergency leaks after hours or on weekends, contact the Rosenberg Communications Center at 832-595-3700.

Why does the City Fire Department make so much noise responding to calls?

State law requires emergency vehicles to use both red lights and sirens. We do try to respect neighborhoods near our fire stations, especially during early morning hours.

Does the City Fire Department offer CPR or first aid training?
